Rather than vaporizing dry herbs, wax pens like the fan favorite Yocan Evolve are used to vaporize concentrates, also known as dabs. Wax pens have a heating atomizer ceramic coil versus a chamber for dry herbs. The dab is placed directly on the atomizer coil. The vaporization process will leave little to no trace of the concentrate behind.

The method may change depending on the device and brand. Follow these guidelines when learning how to use a vape pen for dabs, waxes, and concentrates:

• Concentrates come pre-prepared from dispensaries. Do not buy black market cannabis products!
• Put the concentrate into an easily accessible place, you will want to access this more than once depending on the quantity you like to vaporize.
• Using the dab tool, scoop a small amount of concentrate onto the dab tool. Use the dab tool to place the concentrate into the heating chamber of your device.

A mod gives the user control over herb vaporization, however, it also opens issues and risks. When using a custom mod stay within the recommended wattage range for your device. Magnetic Connections – Traditionally, vape mods, vaporizers and dab vape pens are 510 threaded. However, some devices opt for a magnetic connection.
